Adam Hyde (New Zealand)

Ketty Community Facilitator

As Coko’s founder, Adam brings technical leadership, pioneering insights, and collaborative knowledge production methods to the Ketty community. Adam was awarded the 2015 and 2016 Shuttleworth Fellowship with the goal of building an open source publishing framework.

Dione Mentis (South Africa)

Ketty Architect and Project Lead

Dione is Coko’s COO and Senior Architect. She has extensive experience in platform design, project management, and strategic development within the open-source community. She brings her experience in coordinating large-scale digital projects and strong background in educational publishing to the Ketty community.

Grigor Malo (Albania)

Ketty Lead Developer

Grigor is a javascript developer with several years of experience. After succesfully leading the development of The Assessment Builder (a Coko platform built for the HHMI) he now leads the Ketty team. He has a keen interest in web accessibility. In his free time, Grigor likes to study mathematics and indulge in the wonders of philosophy.

Karen Lauritsen (USA)

Open Education Advisor

Karen is the Senior Director, Publishing, with the Open Education Network (OEN). She works with the higher education community to create strategies, resources and human connections for people who develop open educational resources. Karen also leads efforts to grow shared publishing infrastructure, which includes an ongoing Ketty pilot. Committed to open knowledge sharing, Karen has worked with learning communities for more than 20 years.

Omo Oaiya (Nigeria)

Open Academic Publishing Advisor

Omo is the Chief Strategy Officer at the West and Central Research and Education Network (WACREN). He leads the LIBSENSE initiative, which brings together African research networks, libraries, and academic communities to promote Open Science and Open Access publishing in Africa. Aspiring to advance digital and open-access book publishing across the continent, Omo is dedicated to leveraging technology to enhance African academia.

Christoph Kepper (Germany)

Trade Publishing Advisor

Christoph has over 30 years of experience working with the web, a passion he continues to pursue with enthusiasm. After an attempt in 2007 to launch a book business based on Wikipedia content, he developed a deep interest in the publishing industry. This led him to Lulu Press, where, since 2015, he has been dedicated to helping content creators achieve greater success.

Barbara Rühling (Germany)

Content Development Advisor

Barbara is the CEO of Book Sprints, an organisation that runs rapid book development workshops for clients globally. Barbara has facilitated around 50 Book Sprints since 2013 to create handbooks for NGOs, universities, governments, and companies.

Bela Toci (Albania)

Ketty QA Engineer

Bela brings her QA expertise and eye for detail to the Ketty team. She is a Mechatronics Engineer graduate, an open-source enthusiast, environmentalist, an avid reader, and very passionate about open knowledge.

Julien Taquet (France)

Design Consultant

Julien is a book production expert having honed his skills with CSS book production in rapid production environments like Book Sprints. Julien now is focused on building community around Paged.js and bringing his skills to educate the growing community fo designers wanting to migrate to CSS book design.
